Speakers

Conference Speakers

The International Conference on Computational Mathematics and Digital Technology 2025 (ICoMDT 2025) is honored to feature an esteemed lineup of keynote and invited speakers from academia, government, and industry. These distinguished experts will share pioneering research, strategic insights, and forward-looking visions aligned with the conference theme: "Intelligent Computing and Mathematical Innovations for the Future."

Keynote Speakers

Professor Emeritus Youngjo Lee
Emeritus Professor of Statistics, Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea

Prof. Youngjo Lee is a renowned statistician recognized for his pioneering work in Hierarchical Generalized Linear Models (HGLMs). He earned his B.S. from Seoul National University and both his M.S. and Ph.D. from Iowa State University. His academic career includes positions at Oregon State University, Oklahoma State University, and Hallym University before joining SNU in 1994. Prof. Lee has been a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and a member of the International Statistical Institute since 1996. In 2015, he was honored with the Korea Science Award for his contributions to statistical modeling.

Professor Hiroyuki Iida
Vice President and Professor, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Japan

Prof. Hiroyuki Iida is a distinguished researcher in game informatics, artificial intelligence, and mathematical modeling. He obtained his Ph.D. from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in 1994. Before his tenure at JAIST, he held positions at Shizuoka University and served as a visiting professor at Maastricht University. Prof. Iida is also a professional 6-dan Shogi player and co-author of the award-winning Shogi program "Tacos." His current research focuses on game refinement theory, exploring the mathematical underpinnings of entertainment and motivation in games.

Professor Abdellah Salhi

School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science, University of Essex, United Kingdom

Prof. Abdellah Salhi is a distinguished academic with a multidisciplinary background in operational research, applied mathematics, and computer science. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Essex. Among his notable contributions is the development of the Plant Propagation Algorithm (PPA)—a nature-inspired optimisation method based on how strawberry plants propagate—designed in collaboration with Eric Fraga (UCL) and Mohammad Sulaiman (University of Essex). This algorithm demonstrates strong performance in solving nonlinear optimisation problems and has drawn comparisons with some of the most powerful modern metaheuristics.

Prof. Ts. Dr. Noor Maizura Mohamad Noor
Professor,
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Industry, Community & Digital Networks), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Malaysia

Prof. Ts. Dr. Noor Maizura Mohamad Noor is an expert in Decision Support Systems and Information Systems. She serves as a professor at UMT, where she contributes to research and development in information system technologies. Her work focuses on enhancing decision-making processes through advanced information systems.
